News from the Office- April 6th

          Week of  4/4- CMAS Testing for 3rd, 4th & 5th starts
            4/10- Dine Out fundraiser-Ester’s Neighborhood Pub (5pm-9pm)
            4/17-2nd grade Fieldtrip (Ms. Horton’s & Ms. Russell’s 1st graders included)
            4/18- Donuts for Dads (8am-9am)
            4/18-Kindergarten Fieldtrip-Colorado Mountain Club
            4/21- Passion Project Day
            4/27- 4th grade SPREE Fieldtrip
            4/28- DPS Shakespeare Festival
            4/29- Southmoor’s Live Auction-Viewhouse Centennial (6:00pm-10:00pm)
             
REMINDER-CMAS Testing
Dear Southmoor Families,
Just a quick reminder that CMAS testing starts this week. 
You can support your child by making sure he/she gets enough sleep and has a healthy breakfast. 
In addition, it is important that students arrive to school on time and are at school all day. 
The testing schedule can be found on the website.

ARC Buck-A-Bag, April 10-21-TWO WEEKS!
Look for the Mobile Mini Unit on Peach Street to leave your donations. 
Large grocery store brown paper bags are preferred over plastic.
The ARC Buck-A-Bag fundraiser starts next week at Southmoor.
For every bag of your unwanted, gently-used household items and clothes, Southmoor gets $1. 
This school fundraiser benefits everyone: 
-YOU clean out your house
-ARC sells your donations to benefit the disabled community.
-STUDENTS at Southmoor School get hundreds of dollars for classrooms.

CSC Looking for Self-Nominations
Every school within the Denver Public School District has a Collaborative School Committee (CSC). 
The CSC brings together staff, parents, and community members to enhance
student achievement and school climate by engaging the school community in collaborative efforts
supporting the school and Denver Public School’s (DPS) goals.
We are looking for parents to self-nominate for next year's CSC.
 Be on the lookout for the CSC Nomination Form in today's Thursday folder.

Class Portraits
The main office has a couple of extra Class portraits for sale in the main office.
We have a limited supply and it is on a first come first serve basis.
