WOW! What a tremendous night on Wednesday! Multicultural Night was an awesome success, once again! I hope you had a chance to attend but if not please talk with someone who did - I'm sure you will come next year!
Also, do not forget there is NO SCHOOL this coming Monday in honor of President's Day.
Lastly, I have resigned as President of PTO (effective this past Monday). It has been an honor to work with such a wonderful board of volunteers parents and teachers. becca Winslow, formerly the president-elect, has assumed the role of President.

This month's Dine Out for Southmoor will be at Qdoba. Here are the details:

The Auction Committee needs YOUR help... Do you like to entertain or throw a good party? Or would you rather stay behind the scenes and contribute quietly to an auction event or item? EITHER is possible, so please help!
Parties are some of the top sellers of the auction. In the past, the auction has offered everything from trips to a distillery to full-blown casino nights. So if you can think of it and host it please consider donating a party to be sold at this year's auction.
Another best seller for the auction are the"Of the Month" offerings. These include Book of the Month, Coffee of the Month, Wine of the Month, Flowers of the Month, Dessert of the Month and Beer of the Month.
We are requesting help from parents to sign-up to deliver one of these items during a designated month during the 2016-2017 school year to the winner of the item. The person purchasing the item will get a nice treat each month.

Did you know the Classroom BoxTop Contest lasts until the end of February?!? That means keep sending your BoxTops with your student to their classroom. You can send them in one at a time, in a bunch or tape them on to the BoxTop sheet. Anything works just get those boxtops in to your teachers. Each one is worth 10¢ to our school.
A Note about i-Ready
All I-Ready Growth Monitoring Assessments should be taken at school and not at home. Growth Monitoring assessments are pushed out through I-Ready, if a Growth Monitoring pops up for your child to take while they are on I-Ready at home please have them take these assessments at school.
