Track Renewal(Come Help!)
Denver Public School Grounds Department has approved
a community workday on
Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 8:30AM-12:30PM to
revitalize the Southmoor Elementary school track on the upper field.
The school must match the efforts of DPS by pledging
at least 30 adult volunteers to this project. All tools and materials will
be provided and the grounds department will be present to assist.
We will be laying and packing down the material for a new track.
All ground preparation for the track will be completed prior by
the students at Southmoor and the grounds department.
Boosterthon run will be on Nov 16th!

News from PBis!
Mighty Moose Character Trait of the Month: Respect
PBis is currently working on a survey for staff to take in regards to their
thoughts on student behavior and PBiS's role at Southmoor.
Additionally, we discussed further defining specific student behaviors and how
to correct them or praise them properly in the classroom.
We are looking to further define bullying so that there is a universal definition
that will be known and
understood throughout all of Southmoor. Continue to use those bucket fillers!
Encouraging that peer respect and
collaboration will only bring the students of Southmoor closer together!
Calling all Southmoor area parents with preschool-aged children
We want to hear from you!
While we may not necessarily be able to
impact DPS decisions about Southmoor's ECE program,
the CSC wants to make sure we understand
our community's desires so we can advocate accordingly.
As a parent of a preschooler, your opinion matters.
