Southmoor Superstars!
Congratulations to Southmoor students for taking home two first-place trophies for robot design and robot
game at the FIRST Lego League Southeast Metro Qualifier Competition on November 19 at Campus Middle School!
Team X-Pigs (Dagney McClain, Jack Berz, Maecy Berz, Connor Johnson, and Julian Kugler) and
Team Victory.com (Taylor Cliff, Reid Kinzie, Norah Ahnstedt, Sophia Held, and Haim Lim) rocked this season
with outstanding team work, problem solving, and programming.
Way to go!

Speedstacks Sales
I’ve had many students inquire about where they can purchase Speed Stacks.
Speedstacking, or cup stacking, is an activity that besides being fun, assists in developing ambidexterity
and incorporates both sides of the brain. Your child can give you a full description
about it or go to http://www.speedstacks.com/store/retail/ for detailed information.
I have acquired fifty sets of cups and twenty timing mats for purchase.
The sets of Speedstacks and the timing mats are $20 a piece, with $5 going back to the PE program.
I have a variety of colors available on a first come, first serve basis.

“Dinner Delivery Week”
WHEN: The week of Dec. 5th – 9th, 2016
WHAT: Order a chef-made dinner, delivered to your home, and raise money for Southmoor Elementary.

to your home, is hosting a week-long fundraiser for Southmoor Elementary.

We Are Grateful For Our Many Volunteers
-Passion Projects-
Many thanks to all the parents, community members and amazing Southmoor staff who helped make our first round
of Passion Projects this year a HUGE success. Students participated in a variety of sessions including
cooking, sewing, sports, theater, dance and numerous crafts to name a few.
We appreciate you for sharing your passions with our students.
-Boosterthon-
Once again our Boosterthon fun run was a big hit. Thanks to the many parent volunteers
who came to help with the run by cheering students on and passing out water.
-Have you seen our new track?-
It looks amazing! Thank you to the many volunteers that came out and helped
on a Saturday morning to revitalize the track. Our running club is loving it.
