Calling all 4th Grade Parents, mark your calendars for November 16th.....It's your month for the
Moose Munch lunch for our WONDERFUL Teachers and Staff!
We have decided that a Taco Bar would be a great treat for them this time around!
Teachers and Staff will be able to make their own tacos and create a masterpiece to fill their

100-Mile Club
Students have been troopers as we brave the early morning cold of the season and we have two 100 milers already.
Congratulations to fifth grader Hannah Mitchell and fourth grader Griffin Steimel!
Please try to send your child with winter gloves and a hat to make the cold mornings tolerable.
This Friday we will have a Thanksgiving celebration! Gobble-Gobble.
Education & Hoops Day
Thanks to a grant from the Southmoor PTO, all third, fourth and fifth grade girls will be
attending the University of Denver’s, third annual, Women’s Basketball “Education & Hoops Day”, on Wednesday, December 19th.
Students will be introduced to DU and learn about topics of health and wellness from faculty, staff and
student athlete We will also watch a Division 1 college basketball game.
More information and details will be sent home in a few weeks.
Speed Stack Sales
In Thursday Folders, last week, was information on Speed Stacks sales.
I have sets for $20 and $25 and timing mats for $25. They make excellent Holiday or birthday gifts.

Appropriate Footwear
As the winter season has begun, please send your child to school every day with shoes appropriate for safe
and efficient movement on the playground and in the gym.
It is common for students who incur injuries to be wearing inappropriate footwear, especially snow boots.

We did it! Through the generosity of our community we raised over $20,000 for teacher grants through this year’s Dollar-A-Day campaign.

Band Schedule Fall 2018
Rehearsals are 8:25 – 9:10 in the music room (111)
*Students participating in band are expected to eat breakfast before they arrive to school or after band rehearsal.
Monday – Flutes
Tuesday – Clarinets and Saxophones
Wednesday – Brass (trumpet, trombone, baritone, French Horn)
Thursday – Percussion (drums and aux.)
Fridays – Alternate Beginning and Advanced Band as follows:
Advanced Band
Nov.16, Nov. 30, Dec. 5, and Dec. 6 combined rehearsal (both beginning and advanced bands on stage.)
Beginning Band
Nov. 30, Dec. 5 and Dec. 6, combined rehearsal (both beginning and advanced bands on stage.)
Concert
Dec. 13th - 2:30 matinee for the students, 6:30 for parents.
*Band members need to check in and set up for the evening concert at Southmoor at 6:00 p.m. wearing concert dress (black and white.)
