Warm Welcome to our new Assistant Principal!!!

We are excited to introduce Kelly Hynes as our new Assistant Principal. Kelly has been an educator for 20 years. She brings a wealth of literacy knowledge and strategies to personalize student learning. Kelly is currently working at Lowry and Holm Elementary as a Teacher Effectiveness Coach. She has a great sense of humor and we are looking forward to having join the Moose!!

Parent Satisfaction Survey Reminder

All surveys are due back no later than today April 21^st to count towards the SPRINKLER PARTY! Classrooms with at least an 80% return rate will earn a sprinkler party on April 22^nd!!!!!

Every year we ask families to provide feedback to DPS schools through the Parent Satisfaction Survey. At Southmoor, the information provided drives goals and creates

direction for PTO, CSC and the staff. Your feedback is truly important. We love hearing about what is working and take seriously areas to improve. Your voice makes our school better.

This year we are hoping to gather surveys from 100% of Southmoor families. Please place your surveys in the provided envelop and return to your oldest or only child's classroom teacher.

If you mail the survey back; please provide a written note stating that you mailed it to your classroom teacher.

Community Garden News

The Community Garden work day is scheduled for this Saturday, April 23rd from 9-noon.

ARC Buck-a-Bag program

The ARC Buck-a-Bag program is back and ready to take your clutter and cast-offs. Please fill a paper bag with your gently used clothing and small household items. Bring them to the school lobby by tomorrow. Southmoor school earns $1 for each bag collected.
