Southmoor Moose Community, Welcome back from spring break! April and May are such exciting months for our community with PARCC testing for 3rd-5th graders, Earth Day, the auction, passion projects, choir and band performances and Movin' On Up day...to name a few. Save the date for May 19 after school: the CSC is hosting a 40th celebration for Southmoor.
And it's not too early to think about next year. PTO wants you! Please consider volunteering to be part of the PTO BOD or a Committee Chair. The nominating forms with open positions and what they entail have been posted online: HERE. Forms are due into the office by Friday, April 22.
PLEASE HELP FILL OUT THESE FINAL SLOTS!! The auction still needs a few more volunteers to help deliver some of the "Of the Month" items during the 2016-2017 school year. If you are unfamiliar with this, we will offer six different "Of the Month" items during the auction – coffee, wine, beer, flowers, book, and dessert. The winner of this item will have a different person deliver the item to them each month during the school year. We are looking for volunteers to be the delivery person.

Looking to get involved in Southmoor? Join the Collaborative School Committee and help keep Southmoor strong. The nomination form can be picked up at the office and is due back to the office or klamar@deloitte.com by Friday.
The Library Needs Your Help!
Please consider volunteering in the library. We need help checking in and shelving books as well reading to classrooms. Please consider volunteering for CLASS VISITS (checkouts) on THURSDAYS and to help with CHECK-INS AND SHELVING throughout the week. A Southmoor parent will handle class visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but if you would like to volunteer to lead story time, please contact your child's teacher.
Sign-ups are available in 30-minute increments to allow parents to sign up for their child's library time. Once you sign-up, someone will contact you about procedures.
The PTO is looking for picnic table. While spring cleaning if you run across a table with chairs that you or someone you know is looking to donate please consider the school. Contact Andrea Lauricella atbrendlinge@comcast.netor call at 303.242.1222 with any questions.
